Using Dark Basic — a game-creation version of BASIC that has since been superseded by AppGameKit — George Stephan has created a faithful remake of Ultima 4.
Although he initially made it available in two versions — one using either the original Ultima 4 tileset, the other using higher-resolution Ultima 5 tiles — his final version of the remake blended the two tilesets together.

Not sure. That’s usually the sort of thing controlled by in-game settings, or in a configuration file.
